Phew, that was close. That was a really great game, and my hat goes off to Ryan Miller. He really played out of his mind. I also felt so bad for him and that moronic interviewer who would not leave him alone. The poor guy just wanted to crawl into his locker and drink a whole bottle of Jack Daniel's and this guy was asking him questions about how it felt to lose!!! LOOK AT HIS FACE DUMMY. Moreover, why is it that the ONLY sport in the Olympics that you feel like absolute garbage when you win silver is Hockey. I mean you don't see the skiers, lugers, skaters or curlers looking like their dog died when they win silver....Heck, I would rather win Bronze then lose Gold....
So after a slow start, Canada rounded it out to NAIL 14 Gold medals, a record for one country. USA also nailed it with a record 37 total medals.
I love the olmpyics, it revives a sense of patriotism, and because it is only 4 years, it does not get overplayed. You fall for these kids stories, their lives, and for a brief instant, you feel like you have known them forever...
And last but not least, Obama owes Harper (Canada's PM) a case of Yuengling...
